How To Effectively Use Promotional Products

When you use promotional products and gifts to advertise your business, they can be very effective if used well. But sometimes they can become just another piece of clutter on the office desk, or something that gets shoved in the back of a drawer. Here are some tips on using promotional gifts effectively.

1.    Don’t force a product on someone
Either ask clients and customers politely if they would like to have one of your gift items, or put it in a gift bag or informational folder as a surprise token. People like to feel surprised in a good way rather than swamped with advertising merchandise.

2.    Choose functional corporate gifts
Functional items such as pens, carrier bags, and key rings are more likely to have a lasting impression because they are items used on a regular basis. Clients will probably keep a pen or key ring, where they might later give away or throw away a rubber ball or a soft toy.

3.    Don’t overdo the graphics and words
Put minimal information on the promotional gifts so that it’s not overwhelming. You want a product that looks professional, yet is something someone would want to keep around.

You should also think about what colours, fonts, and graphics you use for your promotional items. Less is more when it comes to graphic design, so try to keep from using more than one font, or more than one graphic.

Browse through our wide range of suppliers to find some great choices in promotional items.
