The BPMA Christmas lunch
The Annual British Promotional Merchandise Association Christmas lunch took place in London last week (17 December). The event raised 10,000 for The Rainbow Trust which provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Almost 200 people attended including Trevor Fordyce, Paul Sung and Carole Bull from promotional-merchandise.org.uk.

Peter Middleton, Managing Director of CRE:8 Multimedia Limited, a producer of broadband TV channels, videos and DVD's, was named winner of 2008 Entrepreneur of the Industry Award for the UK's 20 billion promotional marketing industry.
The Entrepreneur of the Industry Award is a nationwide search for an entrepreneur demonstrating initiative, innovative concepts and a proactive business approach, which has proven successful in the promotional marketing industry.
The British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) launched the Entrepreneur of the Industry Award in 2006 on the platform that all businesses and consumers are affected by the vast reach of the promotional marketing industry and therefore recognition needs to be paid to individuals contributing to its advancement.
BPMA President David Lebond commented: "Peter Middleton has demonstrated a business concept which is unique and forward thinking, and he has made a success by being proactive in his approach, gaining support from associations and institutes, demonstrating to them the power of broadband TV as a marketing and communications medium."
