Trade Only National Show
Trade Only has announced record-breaking attendance for the Trade Only National Show held 28/29 January, which featured 250 exhibitors and brands. The show, held for the 3rd year running at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, saw 1884 unique distributor visitors attending the show with 188 attending on both days, a 38% increase on 2008.
Organiser, Nigel Bailey, commented, "There was not an inch of floor space unsold, we even sold off some of the designated caf areas, such was the pressure for space. More than 70% of the stand space had resold before the show closed."
The event also featured a Power Session and Keynote programme and on the evening of 28 Jan, 500 exhibitors and visitors celebrated at a glittering awards dinner hosted at the Arena by the BPMA (see separate blog).
Exhibitor, Malcolm Fritschy, MD of Oldeani Ltd, said, "Our new range of coloured clocks and calculators were extremely well received and we took over 80 enquiries overall. Comments from clients were that they were different and no one else was showing the same products.
"Generally, the show was busy with some very interesting clients requesting specific quotes."
Visitor, Pat Burrell, MD of Promotional Solutions, said, "Great show. A good range of exhibitors, which is really useful for a gift supplier such as myself!
"One of the best venues, BUT feel some seating for the coffee shops inside the hall would be beneficial when meeting suppliers, etc. etc. That said, the show gets better each year."
The show has been nominated in the 'Best Trade Launch' category in the Association of Exhibition Organisers Excellence Awards by the Ricoh Arena.
The dates for Trade Only National Show 2010, are 27th - 28th January.
