Trade Only National Show 2010
Were you one of the 2,349 visitors at the Trade Only National Show 2010, Ricoh Arena, Coventry in January. Or did you exhibit?
If so, what did you see that really caught your eye?
Was it a product or a trend, a person or a technique that attracted your attention?
Now, this is not an excuse to plug your own product, you can do that by sending me info for our news pages!
I was there with Paul Sung, Sales Director, Promotional-merchandise.org.uk and we spoke to many of our subscribers, who all seemed pleased with the buzz at the show and the upbeat mood of the visitors and exhibitors alike.
The bpma Awards proved to be a great party and Ruby Wax was very amusing, if somewhat scathing about the promotions industry, but then she’s like that about most things. It was great to see so many companies being acknowledged and it’s always great to see the industry rise to its feet the moment the music starts.
But we want to hear what you thought. Just add your blog below. It will take 24hrs to appear, as we have to ‘approve’ it to avoid spam, but come back here this time tomorrow to see what you and others have added.

Hi Carole, like you, I think the show has a very positive buzz. I do think it's a shame though that so many exhibitors spent such a lot of time worry about what was on their Blackberries rather than looking up and talking to prospects passing their stands. As an exhibition organiser I was amazed at this missed opportunity. If I were the MD of the exhibiting companies, having invested precious budget to get a good ROI I'd be furious. Exhibitor training is the key - bring back exhibitor training days where the Organiser goes through every aspect of exhibiting from A-Z, with specialists in each of the many fields there to give advice.
