An Industry That Never Stands Still

Posted in Editors Column on Tue 26 Apr 2011

‘Innovation’ is a word that’s often used in this industry, but it’s usually in connection with products. But promotional companies themselves are using innovative techniques to promote themselves, and the bpma is helping to show them how with its forthcoming seminar on social media.

Total Merchandise is just one of the many companies using new technologies to promote itself and boost sales and has just launched its own iPhone game, which is not only amusing, it allows buyers to win discounts.

High Profile, a manufacturer of promotional plastic products, is always announcing innovative new products so it’s no surprise to learn that the company has announced increased profits.

Dorry Kordahi, Joint CEO of DKM Blue and the subject of this month’s interview, definitely links his company’s innovative products and his ability to promote them as the main reasons for his being listed in The BRW Young Rich List as one of top 100 richest guys under 40 in Australia

There are many ways for companies to be innovative and promote themselves and one very easy one is to send your news to us here at Promo e-News.

As Jackie Sharp from Co Prom said, “"Promotional Merchandise.org" is always keen to use your press releases and this news is usually on the first few pages of Google or Google Alert, which is where I found this (referring to her news) today!"

So if you are a supplier, you can learn from all these companies about using new techniques and technologies to promote yourself, but if you want your news to be on the first few pages of Google, then send it to me. editor@promotional-merchandise.org.uk.
