Prize Winners, Plastics and Percentages

Posted in Editors Column on Thu 16 Nov 2006

First of all, many thanks to all those who took part in our recent online survey. The information we obtained will be used to continue to improve our service to the buyers and suppliers who use promotional-merchandise.org.uk. Special thanks go to Bespoke Gift Co Ltd for sponsoring the study.
The names of those who took part were entered into a prize draw and it’s congratulations to buyer, Mr K Woolass of Birmingham, and supplier, Colin Levene of Sweet Temptations, who are the winners of the 2GB iPod Nanos offered as an incentive to take part in our survey. Happy listening chaps!
The responses to the survey are confidential, but we will be able to report some findings, expressed as percentages, in our December newsletter. Also in the December issue we will be looking at brilliant, brash or balmy Christmas promotional gifts you may have received this year or in the past – so let’s hear your comments on that topic.
But back to this issue, we’ve got lots of product news (including the fact that there is still time to order those last minute personalised gifts). Our feature focuses on the use of plastics in the promotions industry and offers advice on a new EU directive relating to plastic toys and childcare articles. Our Top 10 Tips offers advice on printing onto plastics from specialists Reflex Printed Plastics.
Keep sending your news, advice and views, if there’s a debate to be aired in the industry, then let’s hear about that too.
