The value of a personal touch in a connected world

In the modern economy, rapid change comes as much from business leaders, engineers and marketeers as it does from government.

Toyota, Honda and Tesla have ensured that an electric vehicle no longer means driving a milk float, (even Ferrari have built a limited edition hybrid).  In a very short space of time, Netflix have successfully  launched a web based subscription TV model with their own programming. With these disruptive technologies and the reach of the internet, we are able to setup quickly and hit a mass market even while businesses are still in an embryonic stage. 

So why do we still need promotional gifts and clothing?

  1. Emails and websites are marvelled at and then quickly forgotten, where a relevant promotional gift will stay in sight and in mind much longer. I have a stress cricket ball on my desk with a drinks companies branding on it and play with it constantly, the subliminal advertising value is priceless.
  2. Rewarding a member of staff with a voucher or bonus is great but a well thought out scheme of branded staff gifts and rewards will spread your message wider as your products wend their way into the homes and social/sporting lives of your team and their families.This year we have provided beach balls, flip flops, barbeque sets, towels, football kits, rugby balls and even fully branded, professional triathlon suits.
  3. After a trade event leaflets and brochures get consigned to the shelf (if taken at all) however printed promotional items can create a buzz around a stand and are used or passed on.It goes against our waste reducing sensibilities to discard items of value.
  4. A quirky promotion can allow your humour to be shared
  5. Nothing says sorry or thank you like a well presented branded gift.  This year we received a surprise case of branded champagne from our bank following a mistake.  The generous gesture quickly turned a negative into a positive!

It is simply the personal touch, the actual touch, making real contact with your staff, prospects and customers, reaching out and letting them know that you are there and they are valued.
