Promota Show Review

on Mon 26 February 2007

The 18th annual show organised by PROMOTA was held at the NEC in Birmingham on February 20 and 21, and was the first national UK promotional merchandise show of the year.

Organisers have expressed delight at the 1,000 people who visited the show over two days to see 170 exhibitors representing the leading manufacturers and importers from the UK and overseas.

PROMOTA – the trade association which represents the merchandise industry – themed the show on a 'journey of discovery' and brought together the very best in UK and international suppliers.

The highlight of the show was the interactive 'Discovery Arena' with workshops and seminars held by leading names within the industry.

Rod Duncan, chairman of PROMOTA, said: "The aisles were jam-packed with old and new members visiting key exhibitors, and the interactive PROMOTA Discovery Arena was a huge hit.

"We are delighted at the turnout which confirms not only that we are bigger and better then ever, but that we continue to pioneer a path for members by speaking out for the promotional merchandise industry.

"The high footfall confirms that the PROMOTA Show is back to its best and we are already planning to make the 2008 International PROMOTA Show the leading promotional merchandise, exhibition for the industry."

The show coincided with the PROMOTA annual dinner and awards presentation, where many coveted accolades were awarded to members by the renowned adventurer, explorer and author, Brian Blessed.
