The BPMA builds international connections at PPAI

Director General of the BPMA, Gordon Glenister attended PPAI, one of the world’s largest promotional gift shows, and spoke at the very popular Education Day which proceeded the show, on the subject matter of 'Think Big, Sell Global'.

PPAI took place in Las Vegas between 11th and the 15th January, with an attendance of over 20,000 visitors. Many BPMA members visiting the show, including Jason Marwick and Steve Barnes from Arcadia, Paul Green from Galpeg, Chris Lee & Helen Brennan from Brand Addition, Phil Morgan & Diane Anderton from SPS, Debbie Willsmer from Willsmer Wagg, Gill Thorpe from The Sourcing Team, Nigel Pearce from Bagco, Martin Markey from Plusfile, Lawrence Angelow from Advantage, Parit Shah from Jute Bag, Stuart Shepherd and Douglas Grays from Dukes of London.

Gordon Glenister's speech at the Education Day was an effort to support networks by connecting promotional gift distributors and suppliers globally. UK Distributor Arcadia's director, Steve Barnes, commented: "We have already connected with 9 US companies as a result of Gordon's talk."

Gordon Glenister also joined the IFPPA (International Federation of Promotional Products Association) meeting in Las Vegas in an effort to work closer with international associations including PPS in Canada, Australasian Promotional Products Association, AMPRO (Mexican Promotional Products Association) and PPAI.

Commenting on this emphasis on building international connections, Gordon said: "It’s very important for the BPMA to able to support our members internationally and to promote excellence and best practice the world over."

The BPMA are also building partnerships with the European Promotional Products Association (EPPA) and have held very productive meetings on a future stronger organisation.
