Voucher awards unveiled
In recognition of the enormous and powerful role of gift vouchers in industry, the Voucher Association, the industry leading body, has launched the VA Awards. These awards will be part of the 10th Birthday celebrations of the association and will take place on the same day and venue as the Voucher Association Annual Conference at The Brewery, London on Wednesday 26 April. Open to voucher companies and their clients, the 11 categories of Awards cover the use of gift vouchers in Trade Marketing, Loyalty, Customer Acquisition, HR and Employee Performance. Categories will include; The Use of Gift Vouchers as an Incentive for Field Sales or Account Management; Customer Acquisition in a Marketing Environment and The Use of Gift Vouchers in an HR environment for Flexible or Voluntary Schemes. There will also be an Award for the New Gift Voucher of the Year. "The gift voucher industry is worth at least £1.4bn per annum in the UK. It's big business and has a massive impact in helping to maximise the performance of hundreds of thousands of working people in the UK each year. Many employers still do not realise how creative and effective vouchers schemes are," says Andrew Johnson, chairman of The Voucher Association and sales and marketing director of The Virgin Voucher. "These awards will be a sparkling showcase of best practice in this exciting industry and a wonderful celebration of our 10th anniversary, making it altogether an unmissable event."
