Win Market Share with Promotional-Merchandise.org.uk

Posted in Editors Column on Tue 24 Jan 2012

In December’s editorial I informed you all of the news that ownership of Promotional-Merchandise.org.uk would transfer to the newly formed Business Lead Connections Ltd on 1st January, after Paul Sung formed a management buyout from Tarsus Group plc.  With January drawing to a close we are already seeing a very positive response from our suppliers in both sales and feedback. The promotional-merchandise team would like to extend a big thank you to those suppliers, returning and new, who have shown their support for BLC Ltd.

Sourcing City recently published a report providing a detailed analysis of the promotional merchandise industry in the UK and Ireland over the past five years (read the article here). Although it is anticipated that a number of distributors and suppliers will benefit from the European Championships, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and to a lesser extent, the Olympics (due to strict brand controls), the overall economic expectation is unoptimistic. The findings from the report suggest that no significant growth can be expected in the immediate future. If companies are to undergo real growth over the next three years, it is likely to come from winning market share.

Companies looking to win market share are offered an unrivalled opportunity to do so with Promotional-Merchandise. Promotional-Merchandise.org.uk provides a service for both our suppliers and the end users looking to source promotional products. With excellent rankings in search engines such as Google and approximately 30,000 unique visitors to the site per month, we offer extra scope for suppliers to extend their market reach and secure more leads, more sales and more revenue. If you are interested in finding out about advertising options please contact Paul Sung: Paul@blcltd.co.uk.

Paul Sung, myself and a colleague, Andy Hannigan, attended the BPMA Christmas lunch held on the 16th December. At the lunch, Neal Beagles, Chairman of the BPMA, shared his vision of growing the UK promotional merchandise industry to the value of £3billion. Neal talked about engaging with a strong end user marketing programme to secure the growth. Promotional-Merchandise.org.uk provides our members with the opportunity to share their news for free on our e-news pages. By providing your company/product or industry news for us to upload you can secure top positions on search engines like google. Use us to help to educate and inform the end users on the benefits of promotional merchandise in marketing campaigns. Please send any press releases to editor@promotional-merchandise.org.uk.

Start 2012 with a positive, can-do approach and utilise the resources available to you and who knows what is achievable by this time next year!
